Sheila and Eithne O'Hanlon are dog trainers. They train dogs for the real world. Combined they have over 10 years in obedience training with all breeds of dogs.
Sheila is a National Champion and has competed widely in Ireland and the UK with her dogs.
Eithne has trialed internationally with her dog Spike the Idiot over many years and has the most qualified Schutzhund dog currently trialing in Ireland.
Their motto is to teach you - The Person - to train your dog. What happens when Sheila and Eithne are not there? They will teach you to recognize behavior, to read your dog and how to train it to do basic obedience and for you to be "the pack leader".
Where both their expertise lie in Schutzhund competition, there is a need for real teachers that do know how hard it is to train a dog. Who know how hard it is to get a dog to do anything. We want you to be able to do it yourself.
A dog is for life, therefore they should not be hooligans. They should be your friend and companion and you should live as one with them. Basic obedience on your dog or pup will allow you to walk your friend anywhere, take them in the car, have friends around, stop eating that shoe or stealing the dinner.
Using positive training clicker techniques combined with a positive reinforcement system they aim to teach you how to get a social and well behaved dog.
By the end of the courses you should be able to do the basics of: sit, down, down stay, recall, walking on lead, and some tricks if the time is available.
More advanced classes to be confirmed.
