Pleasant Dog Training are a mother and daughter team that want to help people train their dogs. They have over 10 years international competition experience and are well known on the Irish, UK and continental circuits.
What makes us different to everyone else?
We train YOU to train YOUR dog.
There is no point in us training your dog. We can. You need to be able to read your dog, determine their body language, know what treat works best, how to react in situations that you have no control over and to get the best out of them in training.
All basics are covered from: sit, down, stay, recall, lead walking and progression to proper heeling work with attention. We do not believe in "stay" commands after a basic command is given. You should have control on your dog to NOT move from said position until a release command. You voice should also be normal. All commands given in your natural speaking tone and if needed when they decide to be bold you can alter it to be stronger. That's the benefit of training control from single commands.

We understand that it can be hard to find the time to train dogs, our system only requires 2-3 10 minute sessions a day and using the dogs own food and toys as rewards. We want to give you the pleasure and experience to train your own dog. There is no feeling like it in the world to have lovely obedience on your dog and for them to do what you ask, to walk on a loose line beside you, to sit calmly as visitors arrive and to not eat that shoe!!
Classes are kept small (maximum of 8 people and dogs) to ensure everyone gets the proper attention. You will be split into groups of 4 each so you have ample one on one time with us. We feel that having 8 per class allows you as the dog handler to be prepared for may situations and things that happen in real life.
